The AeroVee engine is a four-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, horizontally opposed piston engine designed for use in light aircraft. It is produced by AeroConversions, a subsidiary of Sonex Aircraft. The AeroVee engine has a displacement of 2180cc and produces 80 horsepower at 3400 RPM. The engine is designed to be simple and lightweight, with many parts interchangeable with Volkswagen engines. It runs on either unleaded gasoline or aviation fuel and has a typical fuel consumption rate of 4-6 gallons per hour.
